MAHOU COFFEE(木津川市）に行ってきた！
きっかけは？
井手町にある大西商店さんは井手町だけでなく、近隣の京田辺市、城陽市、木津川市からのお客さんが多い。その理由はセレクトにあるのですが、食品に気をつかっている人たちは安心と美味しさを求めて大西商店さんに行かれます。

今回、ご紹介するMAHOU COFFEEさんご夫妻もそのようなお客さんの一人。先日お嫁さんが大西さんのところに伺った時に木津川市にあたらしくOPENされたとの情報を聞いたそうです。
HPを拝見するとなんともオシャレな、そしていかにも好きというのが滲み出ています。お店は24号線沿いです。私たちの住んでいる京田辺市からだと山手幹線を精華町まで走り、開橋に向かって左折。橋を渡って24号線との交差点すぐのところです。

↑がお店の情報です。大西さんのお話では元は沖縄でされていたとか。ネットで検索してみると出てきました。

お店に入るとJAZZが流れています。ターンテーブルに載せられたレコードに針が落とされています。コルトレーンのジャケットが飾られ多くのレコードが収められていました。
お店にはマスターがお一人。平日のお昼ということもあってか お客さんは他にはおらず私たちだけ。独り占めです。奥には奥様でしょうか、お二人でお店をされているようです。お店の内装は外からは全く予想がつきませんでしたが、とても素敵な空間です。
以前はブガッティというコーヒー屋さんだったようですが、その時からどれくらい変わっているのでしょうか？居ぬきで入られたこともありますが、そのまま使われているところもあるのかもしれません。新しくOPENされていますが、絶妙な感じ。新しすぎず古すぎず、居心地の良い空間です。
本棚にはJAZZ関連の本があります。コーヒーを飲みながら知らない世界と出会えるって素敵ですね。

今回はせっかくですので マホウブレンドを頂きます。
お供にはチョコレートチーズケーキ。
オーダーが通ってしばらくするとコーヒーのかぐわしい香りがお店内に充満します。ワクワクしながら待っているとカップに注がれたコーヒーが到着。
コーヒーっていろいろなスタイルがあります。カジュアルなオシャレなものあればこのようなクラシックスタイルなものと様々です。こちらのカップはノリタケでした。
メニューにもありますが、深煎り。しかししつこくなく濃すぎることもなく。美味しいコーヒーでした。ミルクは用意されていません。ブラックが飲めない方はカフェオレもありますのでご安心を。
ブラックが飲めないお嫁さんはカフェオレ。問題なく美味しく頂いておられました。
こちらのカップも素敵ですね。こちらは大倉陶園のもの。
そしてお待ちかね。チョコレートチーズケーキです。
チョコが濃厚なんですがあっさりでもあります。そしてやはりコーヒーとの相性は抜群です。
たぶんリピーターになる････
お店の空間にもありますが、日常の喧騒を離れて時間を忘れてすごせるMAHOUCOFFEEさん。沖縄からよくぞお越しいただきましたというのが正直な思いです。コーヒー券って買ったことありませんが買ってみようかなとちょっと思ってしまっています。自宅から程よい距離なんです。あかん、幸せや。最後は ギャラリーを。ええ光がさしていたのか 久しぶりの気持ち良い撮影でした。
